Narges Foundation

Support us in our mission

Welcome to the Narges Foundation

Continuing the legacy of Nobel laureate Narges Mohammadi since November 2023

Established in November 2023, the Narges Foundation was created to carry forward the legacy and vision of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Narges Mohammadi. At its core, the Foundation is committed to advancing human rights, with a strong focus on women’s rights, civil society, political prisoners, and the global movement to end gender apartheid—particularly in Iran.

Rooted in the principles of freedom, dignity, and justice, the Narges Foundation works to support civil society initiatives that promote social justice, gender equality, and democratic values. We stand firmly against the death penalty and advocate for the release of all political prisoners. Our mission is bold: to confront oppression, challenge discriminatory laws and structures, and help shape a society where every individual—especially women and girls—can live freely, safely, and equally.

We are committed to advancing human rights and gender equality in Iran, with a particular focus on supporting civil society, advocating for the release of political prisoners, opposing the death penalty, and confronting gender apartheid in all its forms.

The “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement has not only shaken the foundations of theocratic rule, it has illuminated the path toward a democratic future. It has unified the demand for justice, and shown the world what civil courage looks like in the face of state brutality.

We have heard the voices of Iran’s political prisoners.
We have read their harrowing testimonies—their resistance under torture, their despair after the twelve-day war, and their unyielding call for justice.

From inside Evin, Qarchak, Greater Tehran, and Qezelhesar prisons, they recount a terrifying reality:

A system that tortures, isolates, executes.
A regime that treats its own citizens as enemies, its prisoners as hostages.
Women dragged from cell to cell. Young activists held incommunicado. Prisoners facing death sentences for demanding life.

Our Mission

And yet, from within those walls, a message persists—clear, human, and defiant. Political prisoners across ideological lines are reaching out to the people of Iran and the world. It is our moral, legal, and national duty to raise their voices and never leave them alone.

The Narges Foundation stands in solidarity with them. Through advocacy, public education, international partnerships, and grassroots support, we work to expose the cruelty of the system and support those who are risking everything to end it.

We are surrounded by the flames of repression—but we refuse to be consumed by them.

Through advocacy, public education, and support for grassroots movements, the Narges Foundation aims to amplify the voices of those silenced, empower women and youth, and build international solidarity for the struggle unfolding inside Iran.

This work cannot be done alone. As members of a global community, your engagement, support, and solidarity are essential. Together, we can continue to shine a light where others try to impose silence. We can stand with those who resist—and help pave the way for a future in which human rights are not a dream, but a reality.

Join us. Speak out. Stand with us. For freedom. For justice. For every life.
