Accusation of Propaganda Activities: Narges Mohammadi Receives Additional Year in Prison

On June 18, 2024, Narges Mohammadi’s lawyer, Mostafa Nili, announced her new sentence in a tweet.

Narges Mohammadi has undergone six trials in revolutionary and criminal courts over the past three years, resulting in a cumulative sentence of thirteen years and three months in prison, 154 lashes, exile, and four months of street cleaning. She has been tried and convicted four times for protesting, exposing, and narrating sexual harassment and abuse by government officials.

Mostafa Nili wrote on Twitter: ‘Based on the verdict issued by Branch 29 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, Ms. Narges Mohammadi has been sentenced to one more year in prison for propaganda activities against the regime. The reasons and examples cited for this sentence include her statements regarding Ms. Dina Ghalibaf, her letter concerning the boycott of elections, and her communication with the parliaments of Sweden and Norway.'”

حبس جدید برای نرگس محمدی

امروز ۲۹ خرداد ۱۴۰۳، مصطفی نیلی، وکیل نرگس محمدی، در توییتی حکم جدید او را اعلام کرد.

نرگس محمدی طی سه سال گذشته شش بار در دادگاه‌های انقلاب و کیفری محاکمه شده و در مجموع به سیزده سال و سه ماه حبس، ۱۵۴ ضربه شلاق، تبعید و چهار ماه رفتگری در خیابان‌های شهر محکوم شده است. او به دلیل اعتراض، افشا و روایت تعرض و اذیت و آزار جنسی مأموران حکومت، چهار بار محاکمه و محکوم شده است.

مصطفی نیلی در توییتر نوشت: «بر اساس رأی صادره از شعبه ۲۹ دادگاه انقلاب تهران، خانم نرگس محمدی بابت فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام به یک سال حبس محکوم شدند. از جمله مصادیق و دلایل صدور این حکم، صحبت‌های ایشان در مورد خانم دینا قالیباف، نامه ایشان در مورد تحریم انتخابات مجلس و نامه به پارلمان‌های سوئد و نروژ است.»
