Kiana and Ali Rahmani Advocate for Iranian Women’s Prisoners and Demand Justice for Their Mother, Narges Mohammadi, in Italy
On October 24, 2024, in a public gathering with media presence in Bolzano, Italy, Kiana and Ali Rahmani, children of Narges Mohammadi, spoke about the conditions in Iranian women’s prisons and their mother’s critical health situation following a meeting with the city’s mayor. The event took place in the municipal conference hall, where they also addressed the unjust sentences issued against Narges Mohammadi.
During a Q&A session, Kiana and Ali emphasized the Iranian people’s right to achieve freedom and lasting peace, calling for the immediate release of all political and civil prisoners in Iran. They also urged international and civil organizations to focus greater attention on human rights conditions in Iran and the region.
Kiana and Ali highlighted the deprivation of contact with their mother and other restrictions they have endured due to her activism, calling such actions a violation of children’s rights and a profound injustice to their childhood. Kiana further criticized the prosecutor’s office, saying she has not seen her mother in a long time.

در جریان این جلسه پرسش و پاسخ، کیانا و علی بر حق مردم ایران برای دستیابی به آزادی و صلح پایدار تأکید کردند و خواستار آزادی فوری تمامی زندانیان سیاسی و مدنی در ایران شدند. آنها همچنین از نهادهای بین‌المللی و مدنی خواستند تا توجه بیشتری به وضعیت حقوق بشر در ایران و منطقه داشته باشند.
کیانا و علی با اشاره به محرومیت از تماس با مادرشان و دیگر محدودیت‌هایی که به دلیل فعالیت‌های مادرشان تحمل کرده‌اند، این رفتارها را نقض حقوق کودکان و ظلمی به دنیای کودکی خود دانستند. کیانا همچنین از دادستانی انتقاد کرد و گفت که مدت‌هاست مادرش را ندیده است.
