Hunger Strike of Evin Prison Women in Iran Protesting Death Sentence for Pakhshan Azizi
On Tuesday, July 30, 2024, the political and ideological female prisoners of Evin Prison announced in a short message that they will join the ongoing “No to Execution” Tuesdays Movement in Iran. This movement, active for months, protests the death sentence of Pakhshan Azizi. The prisoners declared they will participate in a one-day symbolic hunger strike.
They stated in their message:
“Until the death sentence is revoked,
We will stand until the end.”
Earlier this week, the political and ideological female prisoners of Evin Prison announced in another message that they will protest in the prison yard for the second time against Pakhshan Azizi’s death penalty sentence. They stated in their message:
“Today, July 27th, in continuation of our protest against the death sentence of Pakhshan Azizi, we will protest again in the yard of Evin Prison from 7 PM until tomorrow morning, and we will not return to our cells.
We ask everyone to:
Stand with the women prisoners of Evin and shout #NoToExecution.
Stand with the women prisoners of Evin and demand #FreedomForPoliticalPrisoners.

زنان زندانی سیاسی- عقیدتی اوین: همچنین روز ششم مردادماه در تداوم اعتراض به صدور حکم اعدام پخشان عزیزی از ساعت ۱۹ تا صبح روز بعد برای دومین بار در حیاط زندان اوین تجمع کرده بودند و از برگشتن به داخل بند خودداری کردند. .
از همه میخواهیم
با شعار # نه به اعدام با ما زنان زندانی اوین همراه شوند.

روز سه‌شنبه ۹ مرداد ماه ۱۴۰۳، زنان زندانی سیاسی-عقیدتی زندان اوین در ادامه اعتراض به صدور حکم اعدام پخشان عزیزی، با سه‌شنبه‌های «نه به اعدام» همراه شده و در اعتصاب غذا خواهند بود.
